Wilma Grace Gattis (Dudda) was born April 10, 1946, in Durham, NC., to the late Howard Lee Clark, Sr. and the late Martha Williams Gattis.
She passed on September 25, 2025 in McDonough, Georgia. She grew up in Chatham County and was reared by her older sister, Annie Mae and her brother-in-law John A. She attended both Horton Junior/Senior High School and Lincoln Junior/Senior High School and graduated from the Chapel Hill Carrboro School System.
She married her high school sweetheart, the late James Robert Brittian and to this union their children; James Fitzgerald Brittian (Belinda) and the late Darryl Kilpatrick Brittian.
She served in the U.S. Army for 20 years serving in Kuwait, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. She was also stationed in Fort Bragg, Fort Stewart, 535 MP Company, Fort Meade and Fort McPherson.
She was predeceased by sisters Annie Mae Gattis Burnett (John Abe); Ella Marie Gattis Pettiford (James Otis); Marthenia Gattis Fearrington (Wilbert Lee); Phyllis Ann Clark; and Lena Katherine Brown (Randy); her brother Sidney Monroe Gattis, Jr.; and sons Darryl Kilpatrick Brittian and Roderick Sabarian Smoke.
She leaves to cherish her memory, brothers William Gattis (Joy); Howard Lee Clark, Jr; Norman Vincent Clark (Lynn); sister Wanda Louise Fearrington (Bobby); sons James Fitzgerald Brittian (Belinda) and Christian Bartholemew Smoke; and daughter, Enjoli Jovan Burnette; and a host of grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
