Thomas Gregory 'Greg' Washington

Thomas Washington Obituary Greg was born on July 3, 1957, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to the late Albert and Juanita Washington. He graduated from Chapel Hill High School and later attended Kings College in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Greg had a lifelong love for basketball. He played for his high school team, then went on to play with various community leagues over the years.

On March 29, 2025, Greg made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was led in a heartfelt prayer of salvation by his son, Thomas Atwater.

Greg leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his children, LaTisha Atwater and Thomas Atwater (Peachy); grandchildren, DeShai, Jazmen, Dwayne, Jazeya, Giselle, Kamarie, and Jaida; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Chauncey, and Arianna; and siblings, Wade Cotten (Delois), Dwight Cotten, Albert Washington III (Elaine), Earl Washington (Cheryl), Phillip Washington, Sophia Mitchell and Alesia Washington. Greg is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
