Stanley Roosevelt “Pete” Parrish

Stanley Parrish Obituary Stanley "Pete" Parrish was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on December 7, 1946, to Robert Lee Parrish Sr. and Lilly Alston Parrish and departed from his earthly body January 19, 2025. From his early childhood until the moment of his departure, he was affectionately known to his family and close friends as "Pete". Stanley was a loving and compassionate person, celebrated for his extraordinary ability to connect with others, offering support, understanding, and a warm smile wherever he went. Stanley was known for his collection of classic cars and his mechanical skills. Stanley received his education at North Side Middle School and Lincoln High school. He retired from the Town of Chapel Hill as the senior heavy equipment operator with thirty-one years of service. He met the love of his life, the late Princess Parrish, with fifty-six years of marriage. Stanley is survived by his loving family. He leaves behind cherished memories with his three children: Makeithra Evans (Gregory Sr.), Markell Burnette (Jackquen), and Lisa Cherry. Stanley left behind fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one daughter Robert Lee Jr, Joseph Louis Parrish, and Juliet Jones with whom he is now reunited in eternal peace.
