Sandra Denise Jones

Sandra Denise Jones was the daughter of the late Jimmy I. Jones and Melba J. Jones. She was born on November 30, 1966, in Chapel Hill,NC. She transitioned from her earthly temple on December 27, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Micheal Alston.

Sandra was educated in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School System. She furthered her education at Durham Technical Community College, where she received her nursing degree.

In 2010 Sandra joined God's Grace Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Samuel and First Lady Wanda Osborne.

Among those who will fondly cherish her memory are her mother, Melba Jones of the home; six children, Jameisha Alexander of SC, James “Jay” Alexander and Joseph “AJ” Alexander both of Chapel Hill, NC, Jordan Alexander of Charlotte, NC, and Jallyha Jones and Jakobe Jones both of the home; three grandchildren, A’laiah Moore, Joseph “JoJo” Alexander, and Aziyah Ashley Alexander all of Chapel Hill, NC; four sisters, Lisa Alston of the home, Linna Alston and Beverly Eubanks both of Chapel Hill, NC, and Deborah Jones of Dunn; two brothers, Keith Alston of Durham, NC, and Jimmy Jones of the home; three aunts, Catherine Minor of Durham, NC, Bessie Marshall of Hillsborough, NC, and Janine Jones of Richmond, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
