Ronald Miles

Ronald Miles was born in Chapel Hill. He attended and graduated from Chapel Hill High School where he played football. As a young adult his hobbies were hunting and fishing.

One of his first jobs was at Granville Towers on the UNC campus were he cooked for basketball players Phil Ford and Mitch Kupchak. Later he moved to Las Vegas where he attended the Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute. Then he moved back to Chapel Hill and cooked for local restaurants. He passed away at UNC Hospital after a brief illness.

“Ronnie” was the son of William Miles of Pittsburgh, PA (deceased) and Hattie G. Miles of Chapel Hill (deceased). He leaves behind his sister, Karen Miles of Chapel Hill, brother, Earl Miles, nephew, Brandon Miles of Chapel Hill, and a host of cousins, aunts, and friends in Chapel Hill, Winston Salem, Concord, Fayetteville and Pittsburgh, PA.
