Richie Allen Obituary 'Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal'. Mr. Richie Steed Allen was born June 6, 1966, to the late Albert Allen Ill and Mary Atwater Allen of Chapel Hill, NC. On August 7, 2024, he transitioned to eternal life at UNC Hospice Home in Pittsboro, NC, at the tender age of 58. Richie attended Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools and was a proud graduate of Chapel Hill High School. He loved technology and enjoyed working with computers. He was a very private person and special in his own way. Richie was always full of joy. Richie had a kind heart, unique sense of humor, and contagious smile. He liked to watch t.v. and stay up all night. He was a dedicated Florida State Fan even though the majority of his family members were UNC Tarheel Fans. Richie was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He will truly be remembered and dearly missed. Richie Steed Allen was preceded in death by his father, Albert Allen III, his mother, Mary Atwater Allen, and his brother, Albert Allen IV. Richie is survived by his sisters, Ashlee Harris (Devin), Jazzmon Williams (Josai), and Akia Allen; aunts, Lillie Mae Allen, Elaine Washington (Albert), Roxyette Farrington (Dennis Jr.), Janeria Denise Robinson, Cynthia Riggsbee, Mildred Meachem (Charles), Shirley Atwater, Mattie Hackney, Delores Plummer, Gwen Atwater, Deborah Atwater, Nettie Burnette, Cinderella Riggsbee and Isabella Lane; one uncle, Douglas Atwater (Sharon); many cousins and a host of relatives and dear friends.
