Milton Harry Todd Jr., known as "Uncle Milty", passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, one day after his 96th birthday. Born in Arlington, MA on June 23, 1930 to parents Milton Harry Todd, Sr. and Irene Deroucheres and died in Chapel Hill, NC with his daughter, Margaret, by his side.
In 1951, Milton married Marlene Rhoda Perkins. Together they had three children, Mark, Mason, and Margaret. They settled into a home in Plaistow, NH where he served on the board of selectmen, the police department and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a member of American Legion Post 90, held the position of Tyler for Tucker Lodge #99 (Masonic Lodge) in Raymond, NH and former member of Gideon Lodge #84 in Kingston, NH.
Milton served in the US Army as an Army Communication Specialist and radio repairman.
In 1953, he became a HAM radio operator with call sign "K1HLM" which he proudly displayed on his license plate. He left the NH State Police after 10 years as a radio repairman and in 1971 started his own radio communication business called "Rockingham Communication".
He is preceded in death by his wife Marlene in 1992, and son, Mason in 2005. He is survived by his son, Mark H. Todd of Concord, NH; his devoted daughter Margaret Todd Palmer, Chapel Hill, NC; granddaughters Lindsay Perez of Danville, NH, Lauren Castellano of Dunbarton, NH, and Michelle Todd of Sand Hill, NY and grandsons Michal Todd of Fremont, NH and Bradley Todd of Raymond NH; four great grandchildren; sisters Anita Himmer of Port St. Lucie, FL and Marie Fournier of Danville, NH.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, August 8 at 10:00 am at the Plaistow Cemetery located on Elm Street. Family and friends are welcomed to share their thoughts and memories of Milton during the service. The family extends their sincere appreciation to Tucker Lodge and the American Legion Post 90 for their support in conducting the graveside service and for honoring his life and memory.
