Lillian Mae "Tink" Nicholson Latta

"Weep no more, weep no more. She is not dead; she is only resting in the bosom of Jesus." 

After a short illness the time came for Lillian Mae Nicholson Latta on Thursday February 5, 20226 to take her rest. Lillian or "Tink" as she was affectionately called, was the sixth child born to Tom Arthur and Nettie Burnett Nickerson on July 21, 1940 in Orange County. 

At an early age she joined Hamlet Chapel CME Church and remained a faithful member until her death. Lillian was educated in the Chatham County Schools and graduated from Horton High School. 

She was united in holy matrimony to Billy J Latta and to this union two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Latta; her parents, Tom Arthur and Nettie Burnett Nickerson; and her siblings Curtis Nicholson, Sr. and Angslo "Redeye" Nicholson. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters Joely Kim Latta, of Pittsboro, NC, and Omnikita "Niki" Latta McAdoo (Phillip) of Mebane, NC; two grandsons, Vinson Latta of Burlington, NC and Nigel Latta of Mebane, NC; one step-son Joseph Washington of Hackettstown, NJ; two sisters Ruth O'Kelly, Graham NC, and Lucille Leonard of Durham NC; one brother Thomas Clinton Nicholson (Imogene) of Durham NC; one Sister-in-law, Roseanna "Tina" Nicholson of Chapel Hill NC and a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
