Kimberly Alston Obituary Kimberly Jean Alston, born on January 21, 1963, in Orange County, NC, was the beloved daughter of the late Flossie Alston. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kimberly's life was defined by her boundless love, kindness, and dedication to those she held dear. Kimberly graduated from Chapel Hill High School in June of 1982 and spent 25 years serving her community through her work with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. For many years, she proudly served as a school bus driver. She was a protector, a caretaker, and a trusted figure in the lives of the children she transported. She truly saw herself as a guardian for the children, treating each one as if they were her own. Kimberly also contributed to the school community in the cafeteria, where she found joy in providing meals and spreading kindness. She was also known for her passion for baking and cooking. She delighted in creating delicious cakes and meals, often sharing them with friends and family. Her devotion extended beyond her work and into her faith. Kimberly was a member of White Rock United Holy Church, where she found strength, peace, and fellowship. Her unwavering faith was a source of guidance, comfort, and inspiration to those who knew her. Kimberly's legacy will live on through her loving family. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Yolonda N. Ameen (Ali Amen) of Chapel Hill, NC, and her son, DeShawn Dixon (Olivia) of Mebane, NC. Her three beloved grandchildren, Shamontay, Dyante, and Quar'an Ali, were the joy of her life. She also leaves behind a loving brother, Rodney Jordan (Helen) of Wake Forest, NC; a sister, Paula Jones (James) of Efland, NC; an uncle, Roscoe Alston Jr. (Julia) of Chapel Hill, NC; a nephew, Maurice Jones; a niece, Carissa Jordan; and a host of other relatives and friends whose lives were deeply touched by her warmth and compassion. Kimberly's gentle spirit, infectious smile, and deep love for her family and community will never be forgotten. Her legacy is one of kindness, strength, and an unwavering love for others. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and we will hold her close in our thoughts as we continue to celebrate the beautiful life she lived. **We do not own the copyrights to the background music** Services Public Viewing Friday February 28, 2025 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM K.N.
