Dennis Isiah Garrett Sr.

Dennis Isiah Garrett Sr. was born April 21, 1962. He was the youngest of eight children born to the union of the late Russell Garrett Sr and Faye Garrett. He entered into his eternal life on June 15, 2025.

Dennis graduated from Chapel Hill Senior High School and joined the Army. He went through many trials and tribulations in life that resulted in him having the disease of Addition. Dennis was a child of God and with Gods deliverance and the twelve steps Dennis found his way to sobriety and ultimately becoming the founder of Love and Respect, LLC. Love and Respect, the message is Hope along with God, Self and Others are the guiding principles that he lived by and weaved into the fabric of what became his recovery ministry, Love and Respect.

Dennis served the community in all aspects of his life. He worked to improve the lives of others through his deeds. He never met a stranger and always was willing to help those that were in need.

Dennis was a lifelong Carolina fan. He was well known along Tobacco Rd and in the local media as the No #1 fan with his Carolina Room, and vehicles all painted Carolina Blue and White.

Dennis was preceded in eternal rest by his father, Russell Garrett Sr, his oldest brother, Russell Garrett Jr and his older sister, Ernestine Garrett.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Faye Garrett, his three children, Tabitha Jones, Dennis Garrett Jr and Faye Secret Garrett, two grandchildren, Navy(Tavares),and Ethan, two great grandchildren, Amoria and Zayden, two brothers, Donnell (Jane) Garrett, and Adolphus Garrett, three sisters, Jackie (James) Feaster, Robin Brown and Christine Garrett. 15 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews and 5 great great nieces and nephews and a host of other children, family and community members that he poured into.
