Annette Burnette Sharpe

Annette Burnette Sharpe was born February 18th,1967 in Orange County, NC to Mildred Burnette-Riggsbee and the late Robert Wilson, Sr. She departed her earthly life on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026.

Annette attended Chatham County schools and was a graduate of Northwood High School. She went on to pursue a career as a Home Health Aid. Annette also loved children and later developed her own in-home Day Care. Annette was known for her contagious smile, her infectious laugh and her fabulous sense of style.

Annette truly loved the Lord. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at White Oak Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Chatham County, NC and also worshipped with New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church of Chatham County NC on many occasions, but returned to her home church in 2011, where she served as a member of the Missionary department and as a member of the White Oak Gospel Choir. She believed in praising and worshipping God at all times

On August 22,1987, Annette married the love of her life, Garry Sharpe. They were united in holy matrimony for 39 years. To this union, one son was born. She remained a loving and devoted wife and mother until God called her home.

Annette was preceded in death by her Father, Robert Wilson Sr., Step-father, William Ray Riggsbee, and her sister, Christine Marie Moore.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband, Garry Sharpe; one son Christopher Lamar Sharpe and one grandson Gemini Theodore Sharpe all of Chapel Hill, NC. Her mother, Mildred Riggsbee of Chapel Hill, NC; one sister, Jeannette Burnette (Glen) of Raleigh, NC; Three brothers: William Barry Riggsbee, Hubert Riggsbee and Robert Wilson Jr. all of Chapel Hill, NC. Three sister-in-laws: Judy Sharpe of Hillsborough, NC, Betty Sharpe of Wilson, NC and Gail Sharpe-Rushing. Nine brother in-laws: Nathan Sharpe (Peggy), Robert Sharpe and Bobby Sharpe of Wilson, NC, Earl Sharpe (Linda) of Middlesex, NC, Elder Johnny Sharpe (Lover) of Haw River, NC, Cecil Sharpe of Charlotte, NC, Jimmy Sharpe of Florida and Johnny Lee Sharpe of Chapel Hill, NC. Annette also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
